Electrical Construction Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Project Manager to lead industrial and commercial electrical construction projects throughout the Louisville area. This role is responsible for overseeing projects from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout while ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate has experience working for an electrical contractor or electrical subcontractor and is skilled in managing project budgets, schedules, procurement, labor planning, subcontractor coordination, and client relationships. This position works closely with field leadership, estimators, vendors, general contractors, engineers, and owners to successfully deliver complex electrical construction projects.
Projects include industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, automotive facilities, commercial buildings, institutional campuses, distribution centers, and electrical retrofit projects.
Responsibilities- Manage industrial and commercial electrical construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, cost forecasts, procurement plans, and manpower projections.
- Coordinate superintendents, foremen, electricians, subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and project stakeholders.
- Review electrical drawings, specifications, contracts, schedules, and scope documents to ensure successful project execution.
- Monitor project financial performance, including labor productivity, material costs, equipment expenses, forecasting, billing, and profitability.
- Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, procurement activities, and project documentation.
- Coordinate the procurement of materials, equipment, and long-lead items to maintain project schedules.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, general contractors, engineers, architects, inspectors, and internal leadership.
- Lead project meetings and communicate project schedules, budgets, milestones, risks, and overall progress.
- Conduct regular jobsite visits to monitor quality, safety, schedule adherence, and field productivity.
- Support field leadership by ensuring crews have the materials, equipment, information, and resources needed to maintain production.
- Negotiate and manage change orders, contract modifications, and project cost impacts.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, project specifications, safety standards, and company policies.
- Oversee commissioning, inspections, punch-list completion, project turnover, and final closeout documentation.
