Electrical Construction Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Project Manager to lead industrial and commercial electrical construction projects throughout the Louisville area. This role is responsible for managing projects from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout while ensuring they are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate has a proven background working for an electrical contractor or electrical subcontractor and excels at managing project financials, schedules, procurement, field operations, and client relationships. This position offers the opportunity to oversee a diverse portfolio of industrial, manufacturing, commercial, and institutional projects.
Responsibilities- Manage industrial and commercial electrical construction projects from preconstruction through final completion.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, procurement plans, manpower forecasts, and cost projections.
- Oversee project financial performance, including labor productivity, forecasting, billing, change orders, and profitability.
- Coordinate Superintendents, Foremen, electricians, subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and project stakeholders.
- Review electrical drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation to ensure successful execution.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, purchase orders, procurement activities, and project documentation.
- Coordinate the procurement of materials, equipment, and long-lead items to maintain project schedules.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, general contractors, engineers, architects, inspectors, and internal leadership.
- Lead project meetings and provide regular updates on project schedules, budgets, milestones, and overall progress.
- Conduct jobsite visits to monitor quality, safety, schedule adherence, and field productivity.
- Support field operations by ensuring crews have the materials, equipment, information, and resources needed for successful execution.
- Negotiate and manage change orders, contract modifications, and project cost impacts.
- Oversee commissioning, inspections, punch-list completion, project turnover, and final closeout.
