The Enrollment Agent plays a vital role in the mission ofThe Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and Boyce Collegeby serving as the first point of contact for prospective students. Through warm, proactive communication via phone and email, the Enrollment Agent provides accurate information about the admissions process, nurtures prospective student interest, and supports enrollment and recruitment efforts. The role blends customer service with strategic outreach to guide prospective students through the admissions funnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engagement & Communication
  • Make outbound calls to prospective students to provide application updates, promote events, and encourage next steps.
  • Respond to incoming calls and emails promptly and professionally.
  • Build rapport with students and represent the seminary’s mission and values effectively in all communication.
  • Admissions Support
  • Offer detailed guidance about the admissions process, application requirements, and recruiting events (e.g., Preview Days).
  • Accurately log and update communication records in the CRM system.
  • Recruitment Coordination
  • Assist with the preparation and execution of on-campus and off-campus admissions events.
  • Support the enrollment team by qualifying leads and promoting strong movement through the admissions funnel.
  • Professionalism & Teamwork
  • Maintain a Christ-honoring demeanour and contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Associate Director of Visit Experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree qualified, ideally in Communications, Business, or related field.
  • Availability to work 25–28 hours per week, including evening hours for events.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience in sales, customer service, or higher education preferred.
  • Commitment to portraying the Seminary’s theological values in personal and professional conduct.

Physical & Technical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and basic database tools.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. and navigate stairs/buildings on campus unassisted.
  • Use of headset, computer, and phone system required daily.
