Appalachian Regional Healthcare is seeking a Board‑Certified or Board‑Eligible Pulmonary/Critical Care Physician to join our growing specialty team in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide advanced pulmonary and critical care services in a medically underserved region, supported by a collaborative, integrated health system committed to improving patient outcomes across Central Appalachia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose manage a broad range of pulmonary diseases and critically ill patients in inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Lead ICU patient management with collaboration across specialties
  • Perform procedures such as bronchoscopy and pulmonary function testing
  • Collaborate with hospitalists, primary care providers, and specialty teams to ensure coordinated patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and education programs
  • Maintain a predictable weekday clinical schedule
