ESS Daytime Waiver Instructional Assistant Overdale Elementary

Position: ESS Daytime Waiver Instructional Assistant (2025-2026) - Overdale Elementary
This position is paid from ESS allocations so it is funded for the  school year only.

NOTICE OF POSSIBLE WAIVER:
To expedite the hiring for this position, the hiring supervisor may apply for a waiver to prevent disruption of necessary instructional or support services.

Assist a certificated teacher with providing instruction to individual or small groups; monitor and report student progress.

This position is for 3 hours per day and 40 student instructional days.

Contracted days will be adjusted depending upon start date.

Position is part-time and not eligible for benefits unless combined with another position.

* Organized in order to ensure proper monitoring and reporting of student progress

* Demonstrates strong work ethic including attendance and punctuality

* Must have 64 college credit hours and a 2.5 GPA and provide a copy to HR upon recommendation to hire.

New employees to the district may bring in up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience. (

NOTE:

It will be the responsibility of the applicant hired to submit the BCPS verification of experience form to their prior employer to complete and return to HR.)

Step 0: $15.98 per hour

Step 10: $19.67 per hour

Although Classified positions are paid at an hourly rate, salary is set up on a year-long contract and divided by the number of remaining paychecks. This position is considered a ten-month employee on the pay schedule. 4 paychecks will be paid at the end of June.
