Flight Club 502 is seeking a seasonal full-time Summer Camp Counselor to support our Summer Camps and Fridays at Flight Club programs, while also assisting with clubhouse operations, dispatch, events, and aircraft care.

About Flight Club 502Flight Club 502 is a 501(c)(3) youth aviation nonprofit located at historic Bowman Field in Louisville, KY. We use aviation as a platform to teach leadership, STEM education, decision‑making, and career readiness. Through mentorship and hands‑on aviation experiences, we inspire the next generation of aviators.
Program Schedule & Dates4-Day Summer Camps (Ages 8–12)Program Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Counselors must arrive at 8:00 AM for setup and stay until 12:30 PM for cleanup.
Camp Dates:- June 29 – July 2
Each camp session is limited to 12 participants and includes hands‑on aviation learning and exclusive field experiences such as:
- Louisville Regional Airport Authority & SDF backside tour
- Vintage Warbirds hangar & Police Helicopter Unit (conditions permitting)
Program Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Counselors must arrive at 8:00 AM and remain until 12:30 PM.
Friday Program Dates:
These sessions focus on aviation careers, mentorship, and real‑world industry exposure.
Additional Responsibilities (40 Hours Per Week Total)Beyond program hours, this role includes:
- Assisting with event setup and breakdown
- Cleaning and organizing learning spaces
- Washing aircraft and supporting basic aircraft care
- Assisting office staff with projects
- Supporting the store and administrative needs
Additional hours are available beyond camp programming.
QualificationsIdeal candidates should have an interest in aviation, education, STEM, or youth development.
- Experience working with children or teens preferred
- Reliable, energetic, and organized
- Comfortable in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment
- Must pass a background screening
Compensation: $16 per hour
