Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable MSHA Trainer to join our team in Louisville, KY. This role is essential for ensuring that our employees are well-trained in Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) regulations and practices. As an MSHA Trainer, you will play a vital role in promoting a safe and compliant work environment while fostering a culture of safety awareness among our staff.

Some travel is mixed in with the role. Specifially we are looking for someone with their MSHA Blue Card based out of the Lousiville area to be able to help train at the regional sites we operate at. We are open to individuals at different points of their career.

Travel pay, bonuses, and other ammenties are included with the opportunity. If you have the ability to do the training we are open to having discussions areound the logistics of the opportunity. Mainly you will just be tackling the MSHA side of what we do and will handle all resposnibilites that come with that. You will not be responsible for all safety programs.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs on MSHA regulations and safety practices.
  • Conduct regular safety training sessions for new hires and ongoing training for existing employees.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and make necessary adjustments to improve program delivery.
  • Maintain accurate training records and documentation in compliance with MSHA requirements.
  • Stay updated on changes in MSHA regulations and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with management to identify training needs and develop tailored training solutions.
  • Promote a culture of safety by engaging employees in safety discussions and initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as an MSHA Trainer or in a similar role within the mining or construction industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of MSHA regulations and safety standards.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Certification as an MSHA trainer is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.

Salary info:

$28.85 - $43.27 / hr
