JOB TITLE: Associate Director of Enrollment
REPORTS TO: Vice President of Enrollment & Student Success
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
PURPOSE:
The Associate Director of Enrollment supports the seminary college’s mission by helping attract, engage, admit, and enroll students who are discerning a call to theological education, ministry, service, and leadership.
- Along with the VP of Enrollment & Student Success, conduct market research and implement recruitment strategies to schools, churches, and partner organizations in targeted recruitment markets
- Along with the VP of Enrollment & Student Success, collaborate with other Seminary offices (faculty/departments, alumni, and more) to engage prospective students & partner organizations recruitment pipelines
- Plan on-campus & online informational experiences for individual prospective students
- Plan on-campus visit day experiences for groups of prospective students & campus/church stakeholders with whom we seek partners
- Conduct recruitment travel to targeted markets and events throughout the year
- Guide applicants through the application processes to enrollment
- Serve as a point of contact for academic departments in the committee review of applications
- Prepare Weekly Admission Reports to the VP of Enrollment & Student Success
- Manage Admissions personnel & student workers
- Coordinate with Financial Aid and Registrar on related enrollment process needs, as directed by the VP of Enrollment & Student Success
- Commitment to and work toward increasing racial, cultural, and ecumenical diversity in student recruitment and enrollment
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the VP of Enrollment & Student Success
Enrollment Strategy and Recruitment
- Assist in developing and implementing annual recruitment and enrollment plans that support institutional enrollment goals, program priorities, and mission alignment.
- Manage assigned recruitment territories, populations, academic programs, or student pipelines, including prospective students from churches, ministries, undergraduate institutions, partner organizations, and denominational networks.
- Represent the seminary college at recruitment events, seminary fairs, church gatherings, conferences, graduate school fairs, campus visits, webinars, and other outreach opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with pastors, ministry leaders, alumni, faculty, denominational partners, undergraduate advisors, and other influencers who may refer prospective students.
- Use enrollment data and recruitment trends to identify opportunities, monitor progress, and recommend adjustments to recruitment strategies.
Prospective Student Engagement and Admissions Counseling
- Guide prospective students through the inquiry, discernment, application, admission, and enrollment processes with timely, accurate, and pastorally attentive communication.
- Conduct individual consultations with prospective students to discuss academic programs, vocational goals, ministry interests, admissions requirements, financial considerations, and next steps.
- Provide clear information about degree, certificate, non‑degree, online, hybrid, and residential program options, as applicable.
- Collaborate with Financial Aid, Student Services, Registrar, Academic Affairs, and faculty to support a seamless transition from applicant to enrolled student.
- Maintain consistent follow‑up with inquiries, applicants, admitted students, and deposited students to encourage completion of key enrollment milestones.
Application and Enrollment Operations
- Support application review processes by ensuring application files are complete, accurate, and ready for evaluation by appropriate reviewers or committees.
- Monitor applicant progress, identify barriers to completion, and coordinate timely follow‑up to secure missing materials.
- Maintain accurate records in the institution’s CRM, student information system, and related enrollment platforms.
- Generate, review, and interpret enrollment reports, dashboards, and funnel metrics to support decision‑making and outreach priorities.
