Job Description:The Bellarmine University Physics Program seek a part-time labinstructor in PHYS
201 College Physics I for the fall 2026 semester.
The course description for PHYS
201 is as follows: "This is analgebra-based introductory physics course. The basic principles,concepts and methods of physics are emphasized. Subject matterincludes a wide range of topics in classical mechanics (vectors,motion in one and two dimensions, Newton's laws of motion, work,energy, momentum, collisions, rotational motion, and gravitation),as well as heat, thermodynamics, waves and sound. Selectedapplications for the above topics will also be discussed.
Three-hour lecture, two-hour laboratory, and one hour recitation.
Knowledge of algebra and basic trigonometry is expected. This course is approved for General Education. Prerequisite: one year ofhigh school algebra." Candidates should be capable of teachingintroductory physics laboratories designed for science, engineeringmajors, nonscience majors, and health science majors. The course isin-person. The ideal candidate will be able to teach both labsections:
- PHYS
201L College Physics Laboratory - Monday 3-5:00 PM
- Tuesday 3-5:00 PM
The fall semester extends from 08/20/2025 to 12/02/2025.

Requirements:Minimum of master's degree in physics or related field required with academic training in introductory physics. Experience teachingphysics (or physics lab) at the undergraduate level is preferred.
