Position: Arts & STEM Coach (Louisville Region)

Clubhouse Kids provides engaging after school programming designed to help youth build confidence, explore new interests, develop skills, and have positive experiences in their communities.

We are looking for a creative, energetic, and youth-focused Arts & STEM Coach to bring hands‑on learning, creativity, and enrichment programming to our Louisville‑area Clubhouse sites.

Clubhouse Kids provides engaging after school programming designed to help youth build confidence, explore new interests, develop skills, and have positive experiences in their communities.

We are looking for a creative, energetic, and youth-focused Arts & STEM Coach to bring hands‑on learning, creativity, and enrichment programming to our Louisville‑area Clubhouse sites.

About the Position

The Arts & STEM Coach will develop and lead engaging, age‑appropriate lessons and activities focused on STEM, arts, creativity, innovation, and hands‑on learning
.

This position will travel between our Bristol Bluffs and Eclipse in Russell Clubhouse Sites
, creating programming that encourages youth to explore, experiment, create, problem‑solve, and express themselves.

The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with kids and can turn an idea, project, experiment, or creative activity into an engaging experience for a variety of ages and skill levels.

Schedule & Compensation
  • $25.00 per hour
  • Maximum of 10 hours per week
  • Monday–Thursday
  • Program hours: 4:00 PM–6:30 PM
  • Based between Bristol Bluffs and Eclipse in Russell
  • Travel between sites is required based on programming needs
What You’ll Do
  • Plan and lead engaging Arts, STEM, STEAM, and enrichment activities for youth.
  • Develop creative weekly lessons and hands‑on projects that can be implemented at both Clubhouse sites.
  • Facilitate activities involving science, technology, engineering, art, design, creativity, experiments, building, and problem‑solving.
  • Create projects that encourage curiosity, critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and innovation
    .
  • Adapt lessons and activities for different ages, abilities, interests, and learning styles.
  • Encourage youth to ask questions, explore new ideas, and learn through hands‑on experiences.
  • Work alongside Clubhouse Kids site staff to support youth engagement and positive behavior.
  • Provide activity ideas, lesson plans, demonstrations, and guidance to site staff when appropriate.
  • Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Organize and properly use arts, STEM, and program materials.
  • Communicate with program leadership regarding lesson plans, supplies, youth engagement, and program needs.
  • Serve as a positive role model and demonstrate creativity, professionalism, and enthusiasm.
  • Travel between the Bristol Bluffs and Eclipse sites as scheduled.
What We’re Looking For

Preferred qualifications and experience:

  • Experience working with youth, children, or teens
    .
  • Experience in STEM, STEAM, arts, education, camps, after school programming, youth development, or enrichment programs
    .
  • Experience developing or leading hands‑on projects, lessons, workshops, or creative activities.
  • Strong communication and group‑management skills.
  • Creative, curious, and enthusiastic approach to working with youth.
  • Ability to make complex concepts accessible and engaging for children.
  • Comfortable working with youth with different ages, abilities, personalities, and interests.
  • Passion for helping young people explore creativity, problem‑solving, and new ideas.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel between Louisville program sites.
