Program Manager II of Evaluation and Assessment

The Department of Undergraduate Medical Education is seeking a Program Manager II of Evaluation and Assessment. This position will provide leadership and operational management of the Evaluation and Assessment Subcommittee within Undergraduate Medical Education (UME) at the medical school. This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate and meaningful measurement of student learning, outcomes, program effectiveness and compliance with accreditation standards.

The manager will work in collaboration with faculty, staff, and leadership across the various department throughout the medical school and healthcare system to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement in medical education program. This position plays a critical role in integrating evaluation processes across the curriculum, aligning assessment strategies with program objectives and supporting the ongoing enhancement of the undergraduate medical education program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full scope of operation for the Evaluation and Assessment Subcommittee. Lead the collection, management and analysis of assessment and program evaluation across all phases of the curriculum. Report all assessment and program evaluation results to all faculty, course and clerkship directors and senior leadership.
  • Provide timely and actionable insights that inform decision-making related to curriculum design, effectiveness and student performance to faculty and administration.
  • Lead program evaluation initiatives, including course evaluations, faculty evaluations, and clinical site assessments.
  • Monitor and evaluate educational outcomes longitudinally and identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement.
  • Train and support faculty on best practices in assessment design, data interpretation, and feedback delivery. Serve as a resource for innovative assessment methods and educational technologies.
  • Provides comprehensive oversight of all data management and documentation processes for the Educational Program Committee and its five subcommittees. Ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with institutional priorities and accreditation standards. Coordinates the collection, organization, and maintenance of committee records, including meeting materials, reports, and supporting documentation, to support effective governance and decision-making.
  • Oversee the administration of the Blue evaluation system (thousands of evaluations annually). Managing the full life cycle of thousands of evaluations annually to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and data integrity. Maintain and coordinate of subcommittee documentation related to evaluation of course an clerkships, ensuring materials are well organized and aligned with the standards of the Educational Program Committee.
  • Oversee the Distinction Track Program- track all student research mentors and projects, publish annual distinction track program report, maintain website, plan annual orientation meeting for students, and quarterly meetings for distinction track board; register students for conferences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in education leadership and Organization in Higher Education, Health Professions Education, Assessment & Evaluation, or related field.
  • Experience working with students in a professional program.
  • Expert knowledge in higher education, processes, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage, support and lead diverse groups.
  • Experience with curriculum mapping, survey design, and psychometrics.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead educational research or quality improvement initiatives.
