Job SummaryAn instructor is needed to teach introductory geology classes (and possibly physical geography) primarily in person on the Jefferson Community and Technical College Downtown campus in Louisville, Kentucky during the day. The position is open for the spring semester 2027. Online instruction may be needed for as well.
Job DutiesPrevious teaching experience in the field is a plus, experience with Black Board Ultra, good communication skills, positive teaching evaluations, and incorporating diverse perspectives into teaching. JCTC offers training in these areas, if needed.
Minimum QualificationsMS degree in Geology.
Preferred QualificationsPhD and 3 years of teaching experience in introductory geology courses (such as: environmental geology, oceanography, geology of national parks, physical geography, sustainability, dinosaurs and disasters, etc.).
