Position Overview

Department of Information Systems, Analytics and Operations, College of Business – Part‑Time Lecturer (PTL) teaching positions beginning August 2026 and January 2027.

Teaching Responsibilities

PTLs will teach undergraduate courses in the following subject areas:

  • AI Ethics
  • AI Prompt Engineering
  • Analytics Programming in Python
  • Business Statistics
  • Cybersecurity (Computer Forensics, Network Security, Database Security)
  • Data Analysis for Decision‑Making with Excel and PowerBI
  • Information Systems in Organizations
  • Operations Management
  • Project Management

Teaching load is one to two courses per semester, delivered face‑to‑face and/or asynchronously online. PTLs may be expected to teach face‑to‑face courses during various time periods.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Utilize Blackboard Ultra to present engaging and accessible learning experiences, provide meaningful course feedback and respond to students in a timely manner.
  • Monitor student progress and engagement, intervening as appropriate to support successful course completion.
  • Maintain accurate course records, grades and required documentation in accordance with university policies.
  • Communicate regularly with designated course coordinators.
  • Comply with university and departmental expectations.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Master’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Management, or a closely related field plus a minimum of five years’ relevant work experience. A record of success teaching courses at the university level, with experience in workforce education, is highly desired.
