This is a 2nd shift position. The hours are Sunday-Thursday 3:30pm– 11:30 pm.
The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE), Office of Special Education and Early Learning, Division of State Schools, Kentucky School for the Blind (KSB) in Louisville (Jefferson County) has an opening for a Student Development Assistant, 2nd Shift.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To The Following- Provide supervision and instruction to students regarding homework and study assistance. Ensure safety and accountability. Maintain cleanliness of dorm.
- Assist students with independent living skills and conflict resolution skills. Assist with literacy programs and assist students with organization of leisure time.
- Interprets and apply school policies related to the student development program, including discipline. Maintain appropriate records and submit reports. Attend meetings.
- Complete and maintain student records/reports. Attend necessary student meetings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum RequirementsEDUCATION: High school graduate.
