Job Title:Infant Classroom Lead Teacher
Montessori Torah Academy teachers establish a welcoming classroom where each child feels cared for and respected. The learning environment is student-centered and self-paced, allowing children to explore their own interests while mastering skills and knowledge. Our Montessori program lays the groundwork for academic success by emphasizing critical thinking, problem-solving, independent focus and working in collaboration with others.
Duties/Responsibilities:- Creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for infants (ages 0-18 months)
- Provide constant supervision to ensure a safe environment, complying with all health and safety regulations.
- Implementing age-appropriate activities and lesson plans that foster cognitive, emotional, and physical growth.
- Providing personalized attention to meet each infant’s unique needs, personality, and developmental pace.
- Maintaining daily logs of activities, including food intake, diaper changes, and developmental milestones, and communicating with parents about their child’s day.
- Helping to foster secure attachments and encouraging initial social interactions between infants.
- Actively participate in staff meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities.
- Love, patience and respect for children.
- Minimum 1 year of experience being a lead teacher in an infant classroom setting.
- Effective communication skills both written and oral.
- Strong problem-solving skills, organizational and time management skills.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Reliable and Punctual.
- High School Diploma as a minimum along with 6 units in early childhood development.
- Prior teaching experience in an infant classroom setting.
Based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule:Monday-Friday
