SummaryDirects the activity and coordinates the program allowing students to develop their interests. The Intramural Sponsor for the program reports to the building principal.
This club is a space for students to build community and share experiences, advocate for neurodiversity and inclusion, and grow leadership skills through creative, student-led activities. For anyone who feels like they think or learn differently- or want to support friends who do.
ResponsibilitiesLeadership is to be provided in the following areas:
- Organization and supervision of the club.
- Setting directions and expectations for the club.
- Monitoring eligibility and academic progress for the club.
- The sponsor of this group will be expected to support, lead, and guide middle school students in group gatherings, providing activities to encourage inclusion, tolerance, leadership skills and growth. The sponsor will also encourage student-led activities.
- Must be 21 years of age, or older.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Complete and submitted BVSD online application.
- Communicate (read, write, and speak) in English.
- Must be available after school, evenings and weekends.
- Knowledge of all aspects of middle school activity programming.
- Proven leadership qualities and successful experience in working with middle school students.
Salary Placement varies according to experience and education.
* Pay range listed above is for employees newly hired to BVSD or current BVSD employees that are new to the employee group (existing employees currently in this unit please refer to the pay range on the appropriate salary schedule).
