An award-winning multi-disciplinary engineering firm is looking for a Geotechnical Engineer excited to dig in (sometimes literally!) and make a real impact on meaningful projects.
In this role, you’ll lead geotechnical investigations, evaluate subsurface conditions, and design smart, practical solutions that support safe and successful construction. You’ll be involved in a wide range of projects - commercial, infrastructure, municipal, and federal – working alongside a talented team from early planning through construction.

Key Responsibilities- Conduct geotechnical site investigations, including soil and rock sampling, field testing, and subsurface explorations.
- Analyzing geotechnical data to evaluate site conditions, foundation conditions, and project risk.
- Designing foundations, retaining structures, slopes, and other geotechnical systems.
- Preparing detailed geotechnical reports and recommendations for clients and project teams.
- Performing construction materials testing and field inspections to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Providing technical guidance and support to internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Utilize geotechnical software such as AutoCAD, Geo Studio, Settle3, GRLWEAP for modeling and analysis.
- Supporting construction activities by monitoring sites, addressing field issues, and maintaining safety and engineering standards.
- Collaborating with civil engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors to integrate geotechnical solutions into overall project design.
- Assist with project budgets, schedules, and team resources as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License required.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering, subsurface investigation, or construction materials testing.
- Solid understanding of soil mechanics, foundation design, retaining structures, and geotechnical principles.
- Experience with stormwater management, hydraulics, or water treatment systems is a plus!
- Familiarity with surveying, drafting, and site layout techniques is a plus
- Comfort using geotechnical software such as AutoCAD, Geo Studio, Settle3, or similar tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
