Quality Assurance Engineer

Responsibilities

• Address problem areas and oversee corrective action programs, establish and review annual quality improvement plans as well as plant operational plans and perform continuous improvement in quality key measure performance and objectives.
• Execute MSA, control plans, part inspection, capability studies and customer PPAP on time and to the appropriate level of detail.
• Develop key customer relationships in the supplier quality area for successful execution of product launches.
• Build internal relationships to remove roadblocks and resolve issues for successful product launches.
• Develop QA resource budgets and staffing needs, participate in the interview process and add resources as required.
• Prepare individual development plans and conduct performance reviews for each QA.
• Actively participate in program reviews and phase exit reviews.
• Prepare monthly assessments of all QE deliverables for the programs within the area of responsibility.
• Perform advanced quality planning including quality planning and control plan standards, FMEA, PPAPS, dimensional layouts, gauge/fixture design, and performance/material testing.
• Apply advanced statistical concepts, designs of experiments, and problem solving methodology.
• Lead quality functions within the area of responsibility, providing direct leadership to quality engineers and a large area of responsibility.

• Must have a Bachelor's degree, or its foreign degree equivalent, in industrial or automotive engineering and 4 years professional experience in auto/industrial manufacturing or related.
• Must have a thorough knowledge of ISO/TS 16949:2009.
