As an Electrical Engineer
, you will develop electrical schematics and documentation that support the design and production of complex, custom‑engineered equipment. Using AutoCAD Electrical
, you will create clear, accurate drawings and panel layouts that guide internal engineering, manufacturing, and assembly teams.
- Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical
. - Maintain and improve symbol libraries, templates, and project standards.
- Ensure designs follow internal guidelines, safety principles, and applicable electrical codes.
- Work with mechanical, controls, and production teams to ensure electrical designs integrate effectively into overall machine builds.
- Support bill‑of‑materials creation and revision management for electrical components and assemblies.
- Participate in design reviews to improve consistency, safety, and manufacturability.
- Provide clear, complete documentation for panel building, wiring, and machine assembly.
- Assist technicians or engineers with questions related to drawings or electrical layouts.
- Update documentation based on design changes, internal feedback, or standardization initiatives.
- Verify that designs reflect best practices for wiring, grounding, routing, and safety devices.
- Maintain version control, accurate revisions, and organized drawing files.
- 2+ years of experience in electrical design for machinery, automation equipment, industrial systems, or similar electromechanical products.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and understanding of schematic design, panel layouts, and wire numbering/tagging.
- Knowledge of common industrial electrical components such as servos, drives, PLCs, HMIs, power distribution, and safety circuits.
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and integrate electrical routing considerations.
- ERP or documentation systems (for BOMs, revisions, etc.)
- General office and collaboration software
- Organized, detail‑focused, and able to produce clean, accurate drawings.
- Effective communicator who works well with cross‑functional teams.
- Able to manage multiple projects and maintain clear documentation.
