Perform the design and provide engineering services as they relate to building, infrastructure and land development projects.
Responsibilities Leadership and Direction- Receive general instruction on key objectives for execution. Receive direction as needed, and especially complex assignments, modified techniques, and new approaches on assignments with conflicting criteria. Work is completed using advanced engineering techniques and design principles and is reviewed by more senior staff to ensure application of sound professional judgement. Review work produced by junior staff for quality assurance.
- May assist senior level staff or management with clients and agencies, subcontractors, and design teams on moderately complex project issues.
- Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria on moderately complex projects.
- Make design recommendations, adaptations, and modifications.
- Plan, schedule, conduct, and/or coordinate detailed phases of assigned project work.
- Complete design work using computer aided software.
- Prepare reports and correspondence concerning the direction of assigned projects.
- Ability to perform structural inspections, assessments, and preparation of reports.
- Work closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
- May assist senior level staff or management with clients and agencies, subcontractors, and design teams on moderately complex project issues.
- Review plans and prepare or review technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.

- Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering or related field required at time of employment.
- Three or more (3+) years of engineering experience.
- P.E. registrations required upon availability. S.E. registration or ability to take an S.E. exam within one year strongly preferred.
- Experience with computer applications and design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD, Risa-3D, and Microsoft Office.
- Proficient reading construction plans and technical writing.
