Overview
Structural Engineer - Bridge and Transportation Team. GPD Group is looking to add a Bridge Engineer to join the Transportation group in our Louisville, KY office.

Responsibilities- Preparing bridge construction drawings using Microstation and AutoCAD, and calculating bridge rebars and quantities.
- Performing bridge inspections with professional engineers up to 15% of the time.
- Preparing construction documents based on field surveys, available resources and client requirements.
- Technical problem solving and collaboration with all disciplines and stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- 5+ years of design experience.
- Kentucky Bridge design experience required.
- KY PE required; ability to obtain OH PE within 6 months is a plus.
- Experience with bridge inspection work in KY is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microstation and AutoCAD.
- Experience in supporting engineers in plan preparation for project work.
- Experience in reading and understanding bridge construction drawings in a fast-paced multi-site environment.
- Ability to work within a team across offices and disciplines through all design phases.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal assistance.
- Working knowledge of codes, standards, and building construction methods.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Valid Driver’s License is required.
