Project Control Specialist

Hybrid in Broadway Office, KY or Lexington (Tues, weds, thurs on site and Monday, Friday from home)

The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of Primavera P6, understanding of the Critical Path Method (CPM), and a general understanding of schedule data is used for reporting. This role involves reviewing technical scoped documents to determine schedule requirements, analyzing portfolio and project schedules, identifying impacts, assessing logic, and making recommendations to project teams and management to support overall portfolio management.

This role also includes managing and maintaining P6 global data, development and management of project schedule templates, providing input to P6 processes and procedures. The position is open to mid-level or higher candidates that can utilize P6 to help manage a large capital portfolio as well as manage P6 global data.

• Develop, maintain, and analyze portfolio schedules to support large capital portfolios.
• Utilize Primavera P6 to perform portfolio management, baseline management, planning, tracking, monitoring, and reporting.
• Assess and analyze new project requests against the current portfolio to identify project overlap and risks.
• Assist in conducting portfolio scheduling meetings and communicating portfolio status updates to management.
• Maintain portfolio baseline schedules and ensure compliance with company standards.
• Support leadership with special reports, forecasting, and resource planning.
• Manage and maintain P6 Global Data including Codes, Resources and UDF’s for use by Project Schedulers.
• Support continuous improvement of Project Schedule Templates.
• Support continuous improvement of Scheduling Processes and Procedures.
• Make recommendations to align P6 Deployment and use with updates to Business Processes with a focus on Data Integrity and Scheduler Burden.

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution OR High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of scheduling experience.
• Strong understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling and how schedules are calculated.
• Ability to review Technical Scope Documents to determine project scheduling requirements.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 for scheduling and project planning.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong analytical skills.
• Solid knowledge of project planning, estimating, and communication.

• Strong understanding of P6 Data structures and Global Data Management.
• Primavera P6 experience required - 4 - 5 years. Minimum 2 yrs would be considered potentially.
• Experience with Sharepoint and Power Plan nice to have, but not required.
• 2+ Years Experience in project or portfolio scheduling, project controls, or related fields (engineering, construction, or utilities).
• Familiarity with engineering and construction project controls.
• PMI Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or PMI-Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP).

• Strong communication and collaboration skills to interact with engineering, construction, and project teams.
• Understanding of budget, cash flow, and schedule development processes.
• Familiarity with project forecasting, resource planning, and constraint identification.
• Ability to analyze and optimize portfolio schedules to meet deadlines.

• Hands‑on experience with Primavera P6 for project scheduling.
• Knowledge of budget management, cash flow forecasting, and schedule risk mitigation.
