I’m partnering with a well-established engineering and manufacturing organization seeking a Quality Engineer with hands-on experience in P91 / P92 chromium steels to support complex, custom-engineered projects for domestic and international clients.

You’ll serve as the quality focal point across assigned projects, collaborating with engineering, supply chain, subcontractors, inspectors, and customers—especially where P91 / P92 material control, welding, and code compliance are critical
.

What You’ll Do
  • Own project-level quality from proposal through final documentation
  • Translate customer, ASME, and code requirements for P91 / P92 into actionable quality plans
  • Develop/manage Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and project documentation
  • Review/approve subcontractor quality plans, WPS/PQRs, and manufacturing docs for P91 / P92
  • Coordinate third-party inspections and review reports for compliance
  • Compile ASME Code Data Packages and support final customer submittals
  • Assist with audits, surveillance inspections, and issue resolution
Why This Role Stands Out
  • High-visibility, technically challenging projects with P91 / P92 materials
  • Limited travel, occasional domestic/international trips
  • Hands-on use of ASME, AWS, and AISC codes
  • Collaborative, engineering-driven culture with long-term stability
Ideal Background
  • Bachelor’s in Engineering or Science (Welding/Metallurgy preferred; equivalent experience considered)
  • 5+ years in steel fabrication or heavy manufacturing
    , including P91 / P92 experience
  • Strong understanding of material traceability, heat treatment, welding, and inspection
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • CWI certification or ability to obtain

If this aligns with your background—or you know someone with P91 / P92 experience
—I’d be happy to connect. Message me directly to learn more.
