- Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for technical and industrial components.
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery performance, and innovation capabilities.
- Support new product introductions by securing reliable and scalable sources for critical materials and components.
- Build, manage, and strengthen long-term relationships with key suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Establish supply agreements to ensure continuity, reduce risk, and optimize commercial terms.
- Lead cost modeling, RFQs, value engineering activities, and other initiatives that drive material productivity.
- Mitigate supply chain risks through multi‑sourcing strategies, demand forecasting, and inventory optimization programs.
- Improve lead times, working capital, and payment terms through negotiation and logistics strategies (e.g., JIT, Kanban).
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and R&D teams to align sourcing strategies with operational and product requirements.
- Coordinate with global teams to leverage scale, align on best practices, and standardize procurement processes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Monitor global market trends, raw material price fluctuations, and emerging technologies to support sourcing decisions.
- Provide cost and inflation forecasts to support budgeting and financial planning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in commodity management, strategic sourcing, or supply chain within a technical, mechanical, or industrial environment.
- Demonstrated success in global sourcing, supplier negotiations, and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical or industrial components and systems.
- Proficiency with ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Epicor, Oracle) and sourcing tools (e.g., Ariba).
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, quality systems (e.g., ISO, QS), and sustainability practices.
- Professional certifications (e.g., APICS, CPM) are a plus.
