CMTA Energy Solutions delivers Guaranteed Energy Savings Performance Contracts (ESPCs) to upgrade and renovate facilities in a budget-neutral or budget-positive way, covering scope development, design, bidding, construction, commissioning, measurement, verification, and ongoing energy management services.
Mechanical Co‑opThe co‑op program offers a two-semester immersive experience in Guaranteed Energy Savings Performance Contracting. Candidates will work with full‑time engineers under direct supervision of Professional Engineers, gaining industry skills through hands‑on tasks on multiple ESPCs from initial development through implementation.
Job Functions- Assist in all aspects of the project development phase—including site visits, building audits, and energy calculations.
- Generate energy models and perform calculations to evaluate the feasibility of identified energy savings measures.
- Produce detailed construction documents using CAD.
- Assemble organized sets of project drawings and documents.
- Collect and analyze energy data, often involving field verification.
- Collaborate with designers and professional engineers to develop all aspects of a project.
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in engineering from an ABET‑accredited university.
- CAD experience is helpful but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Ability to travel locally for field work.
- Minimum GPA 3.39.
