How You'll Make an ImpactAs a Production Engineer/Technical Advisor
, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, you will directly impact the safe, efficient, environmentally compliant and reliable operations of our Temp Rite® CPVC resin production unit. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing, and enhance modern life. In this role, you will:
- Understand the unit’s technology, equipment and process control, providing subject matter expertise to the unit.
- Ensure the required operating discipline, best practices and technology is implemented to optimize and improve unit safety, performance and production.
- Build the technical competencies of operators by sharing process knowledge, equipment functionality and performance, problem-solving thought process and techniques, and experience.
- Assist operators with troubleshooting process and equipment technical performance issues.
- Network with maintenance, reliability, and process improvement plant personnel to resolve mechanical and operational issues and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Contribute to updating and improving the unit’s operating discipline and procedures.
- Lead and contribute to root cause investigations and action plans for unplanned department events.
- Understand and apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) technology.
- Initiate MOC’s as necessary.
- Understand and close unit asset utilization operational performance gaps on a daily basis.
- Maintain a personal development plan with guidance from leadership to continuously learn and develop.
- BS in an Engineering discipline, Chemical Engineering is preferred.
- 5 or more years of experience in Production in a Chemical Manufacturing Facility.
- 2 years of Co‑op experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with PI Data Historian, SAP, Seeq software, a plus.
