HVAC Product Engineer - Mechanical

Summary:

KCC, a leader in the climate control technology industry, is looking for a HVAC Product Engineer to join our team and help shape the next generation of products. This role combines technical expertise in commercial HVAC system design with hands-on problem-solving. In this position, you will be working independently and collaboratively with a cross-functional team including Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Purchasing who are responsible for the design, support, and manufacturing of commercial HVAC equipment.

Responsibilities:

* Product Design:
Design, analyze, and optimize commercial HVAC systems and components related to assembly, operation, and performance.

* Product Support:
Support Production, Sales, Applications, and Field Support teams in the operation of the product (product life cycle).

* Develop Solutions:
Engage with critical/high priority Engineering projects. Conduct product testing, troubleshooting, and implementation of changes.

* Engineer to Order:
Analyze custom requests and develop unique solutions to customers.

* Vendor Relations:
Collaborate with suppliers/vendors on the design of new and alternative components.

* Continuous Improvement:
Initiate continuous improvements for new and existing products, systems, and methods to improve performance, cost efficiency and reliability.

* Specification and Regulatory Analysis:
Analyze test results and implement appropriate changes to ensure products meet technical and functional requirements.

* Documentation:
Work with Sales, Production, and other engineering staff to help create and maintain sales documentation.

* Ensure Accuracy: Provide clear, concise, and accurate information to all relevant internal and external customers.

* Continuous

Education:

Maintain a working understanding of applicable industry standards (ASHRAE, AHRI, ANSI, etc.).

Qualifications:

* Education:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent related experience

* Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Suite

* Technical

Skills:

 Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

* Mechanical

Skills:

Strong hands-on/mechanical aptitude.

* Interpersonal

Skills:

 Excellent personal interaction skills.

* Time Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
