Biomedical Engineering Intern (Summer 2026). This position is a full-time internship, onsite located in Columbus, OH. The Final date to receive applications is December 10, 2025.
Responsibilities- Assist in the development and optimization of 3D in vitro models for efficacy testing.
- Perform cell culture, including maintenance of primary cells and cell lines.
- Conduct biochemical and molecular assays (e.g., cytotoxicity, viability, gene expression).
- Analyze and interpret experimental data; prepare summaries and presentations.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and adhere to safety and quality standards.
- Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Biomedical Engineering.
- Must have at least two years of college coursework complete by the start of the internship.
- Basic knowledge of cell biology and laboratory techniques.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be US Person according to US export laws.
- Familiarity with cell culture and sterile technique preferred.
- Experience with 3D cell culture, organ-on-chip, or other advanced in vitro systems.
- Knowledge of data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Graph Pad Prism, R).
- Experience with fluorescent staining and microscopy.
