Position: Edison Engineering Development Program (EEDP) - Electrical January 2027

Program Overview

The Edison Engineering Development Program (EEDP) is a three‑year entry‑level program that develops and improves new appliance products in Refrigeration, Cooking, Dishwashers, Air Conditioning, and Washers & Dryers. Participants work closely with manufacturing and product management teams to integrate product designs that meet customer needs.

Position & Location

Edison Engineering Development Program (EEDP) – Electrical (Entry‑level, 3‑year program) – January 2027 start – USA, Louisville, KY.

Essential Responsibilities
  • A three‑year program with at least three technical rotational assignments across various technology areas within GE Appliances.
  • Designing and implementing PCB projects, testing and installing components, managing small projects.
  • Develop technical problem‑solving skills through advanced engineering coursework, formal reports, and presentations to senior leadership.
  • Obtain a Master’s Degree in Engineering (required); the program pays the tuition and partners with local universities for customized classes.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Cumulative GPA ≥ 3.0 (out of 4.0).
  • Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
  • Position is located in Louisville, KY.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Desire and ability to continue learning.
  • Commitment to a Technical Engineering Program.
  • Solid analytical skills and understanding of electrical schematics and symbols.
  • Competence in using electronic tools such as soldering iron and multimeter.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Completed at least two co‑op or internship experiences before graduation.
