As a Production Engineer/Technical Advisor, you will directly impact the safe, efficient, environmentally compliant and reliable operations of our Temp Rite® CPVC resin production unit. You will collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions, advancing mobility, improving wellbeing, and enhancing modern life.
- Understand the unit’s technology, equipment and process control, and provide subject‑matter expertise.
- Ensure required operating discipline, best practices and technology are implemented to optimise safety, performance and production.
- Build operators’ technical competencies by sharing process knowledge, equipment functionality, performance, problem‑solving thought processes and techniques.
- Assist operators with troubleshooting process and equipment technical performance issues.
- Network with maintenance, reliability, and process improvement plant personnel to resolve mechanical and operational issues and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Contribute to updating and improving the unit’s operating discipline and procedures.
- Lead and contribute to root‑cause investigations and action plans for unplanned department events.
- Understand and apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) technology.
- Initiate MOCs as necessary.
- Understand and close unit asset utilisation operational performance gaps daily.
- Maintain a personal development plan with guidance from leadership to continually learn and develop.
- BS in an Engineering discipline;
Chemical Engineering is preferred. - 5 or more years of production experience in a chemical manufacturing facility.
- 2 years of co‑op experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with PI Data Historian, SAP, Seeq software, a plus.
- Standing, walking, or operating equipment for extended periods.
- Lab or manufacturing setting with appropriate PPE provided.
- Use of computers and digital tools in an office or hybrid environment.
- Occasional lifting or movement of materials.
- Adherence to rigorous safety protocols and ergonomic standards.
