Project Engineer (Power Generation)

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Engineer for a role focused on Power Generation projects. This role will support a variety of projects related to power stations, roadways, landfills, renewable energy initiatives, and abandoned mine land reclamation projects across Kentucky and surrounding states. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background and a passion for delivering innovative solutions in the power generation industry.

Responsibilities
  • Provide engineering support for power generation projects, including design, development, and implementation phases.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on projects related to power stations, roadways, landfills, renewable energy, and mine land reclamation.
  • Conduct site visits to project locations across Kentucky and surrounding states, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and project specifications.
  • Prepare technical reports, design documents, and project plans.
  • Oversee project progress, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to coordinate project activities.
  • Identify and mitigate potential project risks and provide solutions to complex engineering challenges.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Engineering is required.
  • Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) License is required.
  • Minimum of 6 years of engineering experience, preferably in the power generation industry.
  • Experience working on projects related to power stations, renewable energy, landfills, and infrastructure is highly desirable.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to project sites as needed, primarily within the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with project teams and stakeholders.
