Project Engineer (Power Generation)
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Engineer for a role focused on Power Generation projects. This role will support a variety of projects related to power stations, roadways, landfills, renewable energy initiatives, and abandoned mine land reclamation projects across Kentucky and surrounding states. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background and a passion for delivering innovative solutions in the power generation industry.
Responsibilities- Provide engineering support for power generation projects, including design, development, and implementation phases.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on projects related to power stations, roadways, landfills, renewable energy, and mine land reclamation.
- Conduct site visits to project locations across Kentucky and surrounding states, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and project specifications.
- Prepare technical reports, design documents, and project plans.
- Oversee project progress, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to coordinate project activities.
- Identify and mitigate potential project risks and provide solutions to complex engineering challenges.
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Engineering is required.
- Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) License is required.
- Minimum of 6 years of engineering experience, preferably in the power generation industry.
- Experience working on projects related to power stations, renewable energy, landfills, and infrastructure is highly desirable.
- Willingness and ability to travel to project sites as needed, primarily within the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with project teams and stakeholders.
