Mechanical & Electrical Engineer (Advanced Facilities / Industrial Projects)
OverviewJoin a high-performing Advanced Facilities team delivering complex and cutting-edge projects across Industrial & Manufacturing, Data Centers, and Semiconductor sectors. This role offers the opportunity to work on some of the most technically advanced construction projects in the country while collaborating with a diverse and experienced team of professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Support all aspects of safety and quality programs, promoting a culture of zero incidents and high-performance standards
- Assist in mechanical and electrical construction activities across all project phases, from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout
- Develop and support budgetary MEP estimates using automated estimating tools based on program and schematic designs
- Participate in preconstruction efforts, including reviewing MEP system options and performing systems analysis
- Help develop mechanical and electrical scopes of work for bidding and subcontractor coordination
- Assist in bid analysis and contribute to subcontractor selection
- Support project scheduling by developing sequencing plans for mechanical and electrical systems
- Review design documents to identify constructability issues and potential quality concerns
- Perform site inspections to ensure work meets specifications, safety standards, and project timelines
- Support the shop drawing and submittal review process to ensure compliance with contract documents
- Assist in commissioning activities, including pre-functional checklists, functional testing procedures, and execution
- Help develop and execute commissioning plans for assigned projects
- Coordinate directly with project teams and contribute to client-facing deliverables
- Lead MEP coordination efforts across disciplines and subcontractors
- Participate in all project phases from startup through closeout
- Develop and manage schedules for mechanical and electrical systems
- Conduct constructability reviews and provide detailed reporting to project teams
- Review and approve shop drawings and submittals prior to design team submission
- Support project pursuits and presentations as a technical representative
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of construction and/or engineering experience
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications
- Working knowledge of construction methods, materials, and project delivery processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with MEP construction tools/software
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to deliver accurate and timely work
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and build strong relationships
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on constructability and efficiency
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment
