Overview General Statement of Duties
Performs a variety of technical office and field functions related to the design, maintenance, and management of power plant facility drawings, records, and project documentation.
Responsibilities General Duties
Comply with all Company safety rules, procedures, and work practices.Participate in Company-directed training programs and report to designated locations as required.Demonstrate competency in the duties and qualifications associated with this classification through successful job performance and participation in training and testing programs established by the Company.Monitor work areas for unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, or other hazards and promptly report concerns to supervision.Perform other duties within the employee’s capabilities as assigned by supervision to support Company operations and employee development.Maintain equipment, tools, materials, vehicles, and work areas in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.Report to assigned facilities and work shifts as required to support operational needs.Perform work in a professional, responsible, and cooperative manner that promotes a positive working environment both within and outside the Company.Compile information and prepare reports, forms, records, and other documentation as required.Represent the Company with the highest standards of professionalism, conduct, appearance, and customer service.Specific Duties
Utilize computer-aided drafting (CAD) software and other drafting tools to prepare, revise, and maintain engineering drawings and project documentation. Perform layout and design activities including drafting, revising field prints, calculating elevations, and updating drawings to reflect field modifications.Assist with engineering and design activities by:Establishing structural and equipment centerlines and elevations.Calculating areas, volumes, steel quantities, and similar engineering measurements.Monitoring grades, slopes, and elevations.Collecting and documenting survey data.Developing contour maps and survey drawings.Detailing structural steel, reinforcing steel, anchor bolts, concrete embedments, and related construction components.Prepare bills of material from approved construction drawings and develop graphs, charts, presentations, and other technical illustrations as needed.Operate and maintain drafting, surveying, testing, and measurement equipment, including but not limited to surveying instruments, concrete testing equipment, sounding equipment, tapes, calipers, and other tools as required.Assist Project Engineers with field investigations and site visits, including taking measurements, performing basic calculations, preparing sketches, and documenting field conditions.Develop and maintain a working knowledge of power plant drawings, records, project files, and document management systems located at Corporate and plant facilities. Provide drawings, records, and technical information to plant personnel, contractors, and authorized external agencies as requested.Support the organization, maintenance, retention, and retrieval of Power Generation drawings, records, and technical documentation.Perform housekeeping and record-maintenance activities necessary to support project work and maintain an orderly work environment.Develop a working knowledge of power plant operations and associated equipment…
