About The Opportunity
Our client is an award-winning and fast-growing AEC firm seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join its dynamic engineering consulting team. This role offers the opportunity to serve as a technical expert, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, develop innovative engineering solutions, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to business growth while working on projects for both public and private sector clients.
Responsibilities- Serve as the lead structural engineer on projects, providing technical expertise and guidance to project teams.
- Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and develop innovative, practical engineering solutions.
- Review and approve engineering designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with applicable building codes and industry standards.
- Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering their technical and professional development.
- Participate in business development efforts, including proposal preparation and client presentations.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Provide technical leadership throughout all phases of project delivery.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of structural engineering experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Experience designing a variety of structural systems, including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures.
- Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, and IBC.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with structural engineering and drafting software, including AutoCAD, Revit, RISA, Ener Calc, BIM modeling tools, and related design software.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with construction methods, job site safety practices, and willingness to perform site visits as needed.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to continue professional development.
