Auris Noble LLC is a vertically-integrated refiner of all precious metals. The company operates in aerospace, defense, and the critical materials sector and has been in business since 2011 and employs approximately 50. It operates four (soon to be five!) sites across northeast Ohio. We are seeking a capable and experienced chemical engineer with a background in wastewater treatment and/or hydrometallurgy who can develop a project from conceptualization to commissioning.
In this role, the Senior chemical engineer will work directly with the CTO and Refining Manager (Adam Taylor this means you) to take a PFD or business concept to a P& work with the production team to bring plans/engineering work into reality. We anticipate adding 2-3 additional chemical engineering subordinates over the next 3-4 years.
An ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, self-managing and highly proficient in specifying piping, tanks, mixers, heat exchangers and other components of exotic alloy (Zr, Ti, Ta, Hasty
C) and polymeric materials (CPVC, PVDF). We are less interested in candidates performing ROIs, cost/benefit and price justification and much more interested in an individual who is able to deploy best engineering practices to solve unique business opportunities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop the scope of project(s)
- Fully develop the scope of the project(s) to a point where a project budget and timeline may be established
- Leverage the skills of Auris Noble’s colleagues and/or hire and manage contractor teams to execute the project(s) to completion
- Ability to take control of a project from inception to completion
- Ability to collaborate amongst a variety of different disciplines
- Project management and supervision skills
- Proficiency with 3D CAD software, preferably Solidworks
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with OSHA and Ohio EPA rules and regulations
- Familiarity with ASME, NEC, and NFPA codes
- Minimum of a BS in engineering field, preferably chemical engineering
- Minimum of five years experience in chemical and/or manufacturing industries
