Enerpan Building Systems designs, engineers, and manufactures custom prefabricated modular buildings and equipment enclosures for critical infrastructure industries such as Fire Pump, HVACR, Electrical, Compressed Air, Oil & Gas, and Energy. All solutions are produced at our Louisville, Kentucky facility.

The Design Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based at our Louisville, KY facility. Day-to-day tasks include developing detailed CAD models and drawings, performing engineering calculations, and coordinating mechanical and electrical design features with internal teams and external partners. The Design Engineer will collaborate closely with project managers, production teams, and clients to refine concepts, resolve technical challenges, and support state-stamped engineering documentation.

Additional responsibilities include reviewing designs for manufacturability, participating in design reviews, and contributing to continuous improvement of design standards and processes.

Qualifications
  • Strong Design Engineering skills with experience creating custom building or enclosure solutions.
  • Background in Mechanical Engineering with ability to perform relevant calculations and apply industry codes.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and Vault for 3D modeling, drafting, and detailing.
  • Product Design skills for translating customer requirements and site conditions into practical, manufacturable solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Familiarity with building codes, structural design principles, and industrial equipment enclosures is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, engineering drawings, and construction documents.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to safety and quality.
