Design and analyze bridges and other transportation-related structures.
Prepare and review structural calculations, engineering plans, specifications, and technical reports.
Manage bridge projects through planning, design, and construction phases.
Perform structural inspections, condition assessments, and evaluations of existing bridges.
Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and state and federal regulations.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, technicians, clients, and other project stakeholders.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff.
Review engineering drawings and calculations to ensure accuracy and quality.
Assist with project scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
Support client relationships and contribute to business development efforts as needed.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in bridge design and structural engineering.
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Experience with bridge design, analysis, and rehabilitation projects.
Knowledge of AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications and applicable design standards.
Proficiency with structural analysis and design software.
Experience with engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Micro Station, Open Bridge, or similar programs.
Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, materials, and construction methods.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work effectively within a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
