Key Responsibilities
- Accounting Operations
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and US GAAP
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses to ensure the integrity of financial data
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and management schedules to support business decision-making
- Ensure proper recording of financial transactions and adherence to internal accounting policies and external regulatory requirements
- Compliance and Controls
- Support external and internal audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations
- Assist in maintaining and improving internal control frameworks to ensure compliance with corporate governance policies
- Monitor compliance with local regulatory and tax requirements for assigned legal entities
- Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency in R2R processes through automation, system enhancements, and standardization
- Assist in implementing best practices to improve financial close timelines and reporting accuracy
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and ensure smooth integration of financial systems
- Financial Analysis and Reporting
- Perform financial analyses to identify trends, variances, and insights that support business objectives
- Assist in developing dashboards and financial reports to provide visibility into key financial metrics
- Work closely with business finance teams to provide meaningful insights that drive strategic decision-making
- Stakeholder Relationships
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and external auditors, to ensure smooth financial reporting processes
- Act as a key point of contact for general ledger-related inquiries and issue resolution
- Provide excellent service to internal stakeholders by delivering timely and accurate financial information
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred
- 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate finance or shared services environment
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- Experience with financial reporting tools
- Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to analyze large datasets and create meaningful reports
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
