This individual will play a pivotal role in shaping our financial strategy, optimizing performance, and ensuring long‑term organizational stability.

Position Overview

The CFO will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive team, overseeing all financial operations, driving fiscal discipline, and supporting scalable growth. This role requires deep expertise in logistics, freight brokerage, transportation, or supply chain finance. The ideal candidate is a forward‑thinking leader with strong analytical skills, operational insight, and a proven track record of guiding companies through expansion, transformation, and profitability improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Financial Leadership
  • Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with organizational goals and market conditions.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision‑making and long‑term planning.
  • Lead financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario planning for a dynamic logistics environment.
  • Financial Operations & Compliance
  • Oversee accounting, budgeting, reporting, and internal controls.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and industry regulations, including transportation‑specific financial requirements.
  • Manage audits, tax planning, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Cash Flow, Capital, & Investment Management
  • Optimize cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support operational needs.
  • Evaluate capital investments, fleet financing, fuel, and infrastructure expansion.
  • Lead relationships with banks, investors, and financial partners.
  • Cost Optimization & Profitability
  • Analyze cost structures across freight operations, carrier relationships, and supply chain processes.
  • Implement strategies to improve margins, reduce waste, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Drive KPI development and financial performance metrics.
  • Team Leadership & Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team.
  • Partner closely with operations, administration, and sales leaders to support integrated business performance.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in logistics, freight, transportation, or supply chain.
  • Demonstrated success in managing financial operations for a mid‑size or large organization.
  • Strong understanding of freight brokerage models, carrier payment cycles, fuel cost management, and transportation compliance.
  • Proven ability to lead strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
