We are conducting a confidential search for a Corporate Controller with an established private equity-backed company that is in the midst of a significant financial and operational transformation.

The business has a long operating history and has made substantial progress over the past several years, including meaningful improvement in profitability, cash flow, liquidity, and overall financial performance. The company is now focused on strengthening its financial infrastructure, improving execution, and building a more scalable platform for continued growth.

This role reports directly to the CFO and will serve as a key second-in-command within the finance organization. The CFO is highly strategic, operational, and FP&A-oriented and is looking for a hands-on Controller who can take ownership of the core accounting and controllership function.

• Lead the day-to-day accounting and controllership function
• Strengthen financial reporting, close processes, controls, and accounting infrastructure
• Oversee treasury, liquidity management, and cash forecasting
• Manage lender reporting, covenant compliance, and credit agreement requirements
• Provide leadership around cost accounting and operational finance
• Improve the technical capabilities, processes, and accountability of the finance organization
• Partner closely with the CFO and business leadership on financial and operational priorities
• Lead and develop a team across accounting and operational finance
• Help drive broader cultural, financial, and operational change across the organization

The ideal candidate will be sophisticated enough to operate as a strategic partner to the CFO while remaining comfortable in the details. This is a hands-on environment where the Controller will be expected to establish accountability, influence change, and help strengthen the overall finance function.

• Experience with in a private equity-backed company
• Experience in an industrial, product-based, distribution, or similarly complex operating environment
• Strong lender reporting, covenant compliance, and credit agreement experience
• Treasury and liquidity management experience

• CPA
• Public accounting background
• Experience in a turnaround, transformation, or cash-constrained environment
