Meaningful Work From Day One:
The Treasury Specialist is responsible for worldwide establishment and maintenance of Brown-Forman’s 200+ global bank accounts, preparing compliance documents, and providing administrative support to the Treasury department. The role also handles the back office functions for foreign exchange (FX), commodities, and cash management.
- Establish, monitor, maintain, and terminate global bank accounts.
- Generate resolution packages and supporting documents required by each country and bank; coordinate signatures and delivery.
- Prepare and notarize documents such as powers of attorney, incumbency, and secretary’s certificates.
- Maintain an up-to-date global bank account database.
- Provide FATCA and Self-Certifications (CSR) as part of KYC compliance.
- Manage AML requirements in various markets/jurisdictions.
- Prepare compliance certificates and reporting packages, and submit loan compliance documentation to financial institutions.
- Prepare annual audit confirmations for external audit and on request for internal audit.
- In SAP: create new business partners, update existing ones, and generate freeform payments.
- Settle FX contracts using Finastra and SAP; execute mid-month dissolutions and perform FX reporting.
- Monthly compliance reporting and statement verification.
- Manage bank guarantees, draft letter of credit applications and amendments; process related invoices.
- Perform settlement of commercial paper, time deposit, and other investment activities in SAP.
- Ensure proper loading of foreign exchange rates from Bloomberg into the Treasury database and SAP.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with at least three years of experience in banking or a related industry, or an Associate Degree with five to seven years of relevant experience.
- Strong interest in international business operations and familiarity with global practices.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with financial institutions and internal stakeholders.
- Clear oral and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and project management ability.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Docs.
- Initiative, problem‑solving skills, and independent judgment.
- Confidentiality and discretion.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed.
- Previous experience as a Corporate Treasury Specialist.
- Paralegal experience.
- Notary Public certification.
- Experience using technology to drive process efficiencies.
