Overview

Aptiva Health is a rapidly expanding multi-specialty group with locations throughout Kentucky. We are currently looking to hire a full time Accounts Receivable Specialist.

Our growing organization has an immediate need for a full-time professional, detail oriented and knowledgeable. The AR Specialist will be responsible for assisting the revenue cycle management department. If you have experience in Accounts Receivable, follow-up at a medical practice, we encourage you to apply for this position.

• Review unpaid claims and research reasons for delay in payment.
• Initiate collection follow-up of unpaid or denied claims with the appropriate Payer.
• Research, appeal and resolve claim partial payments and denials with Payers.
• Process appeals by gathering information and resubmitting claims.
• Communicate payment or denial trending issues/concerns that impact revenue to leadership.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members and Payer representatives.
• Contact insurance companies and attorneys to work out any discrepancies and obtain bill status in order to obtain proper reimbursement.
• Review outstanding accounts receivables for assigned Payers and master aging report.
• Process any adjustments as needed.

• 1+ year of experience in medical office setting preferred.
• 1+ year of Accounts Receivable experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
