RN Part Time, Nights- South Observation

Overview

The 5 South Observation Unit is a fast-paced, team-focused environment supporting both the Emergency Department and telemetry services. The unit cares for low-acuity patients who need short-term monitoring and additional evaluation before determining whether inpatient admission is required. This role is an excellent fit for nurses with experience in Telemetry, Emergency Department, Intermediate Care, ICU/CCU, ambulatory care, or those who are comfortable with basic phlebotomy skills.

While not required, this experience supports efficient patient flow and timely diagnostics.

• Performs thorough assessments and ongoing reassessments to guide patient care
• Develops individualized, evidence-based plans of care
• Provides care aligned with organizational policies, professional standards, and the mission, vision, and values of the organization
• Evaluates patient responses and adjusts interventions as needed
• Demonstrates strong critical thinking, clinical reasoning, organization, and leadership in all aspects of care
• Utilizes blood-draw skills when needed to support timely lab collection (not a required qualification)

• Active Kentucky RN license
• BCLS required (training available)
• ACLS required (training available)
• NIH preferred
