Recovery Services Specialist - State Hospital

Central State Hospital is seeking a full-time Recovery Services Specialist to join the Recovery Services team!

This position will primarily work M-F, 8am-4:30pm but will rotate some evening and weekend hours.

• Plans, schedules and conducts psycho educational classes on recovery as assigned (e.g., medication side effects, ADL, communication skills, stress management strategies).
• Provides therapeutic support within the units and Recovery Center.
• Teaches and models healthy behaviors, consistent with the treatment/care goals of recovery.
• Contributes to safe and therapeutic environment by practicing verbal de-escalation and, as authorized, other behavior management techniques.
• Completes and maintains service documentation according to mandated standards.
• Communicates information relevant to care, treatment, and services, with other staff members.
• Assist with patient care duties and other activities as necessary.

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
• 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Must be willing to work some evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Valid driver's license.
