Responsibilities
This leader has the responsibility to develop a strategic directional course for their department which coincides with NHC's overall strategic plan as well as new applications and systems essential to business directions. Charged with the goal of continuous quality improvement, they must provide leadership and supervision to the staff they supervise. With responsibility for the overall administrative and clinical (if appropriate) direction and management of their department(s), this leader facilitates the development and delivery of excellence in service practice by evaluating and coordinating the services delivered.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to direct the services appropriate for the patient/family population being served. Integrates the department's services with the hospital's primary functions.
- Ensures accurate data abstraction of measures from all required regulatory agencies and data related to quality goals.
- Coordinates the development of process improvement plan and overall corrective action plans and monitoring of results while trending of opportunities related to core measures and PI data. Assist clinical areas in setting goals and monitoring. Enforces, facilitates and supports standards and regulatory compliance through the coordination and execution of various activities related to continuous readiness and survey response, including audits, reviews, survey activities and other activities as defined by manager/director's an active member of the Improvement Network: continual pursuit of performance excellence for the value metrics, goal driven, personally advocates and coaches others around NHC's improvement methodology, passionate about transforming healthcare.
- Demonstrates ability to communicate to teams and individuals as evidenced by team/individual engagement in process improvement, awareness, of latest Joint Commission/CMS requirements and application of the Joint Commission/CMS standards in areas of practice, ensuring accountability by leaders in the clinical areas. Develops collaborative relationships with others; shares knowledge generously, seeks the involvement of others in key activities and decision-team player, provides assist to colleagues as needed.
Is responsible for the administration and management of the quality and infection control (where applicable) department including the direct supervision of the nurses.
- Three years in a healthcare setting.
- Bachelor Degree.
- Registered Nurse.
- Three years quality and accreditation.
- Master Degree.
