Position Overview
Episcopal independent school committed to academic excellence and spiritual formation, seeks a mission-aligned Talent Sourcer to support recruitment of exceptional faculty and staff. This role focuses on proactively identifying, engaging, and building pipelines of diverse, high-quality candidates who support the schools Episcopal identity, inclusive community, and educational mission.
The Talent Sourcer plays a key role in strengthening the schools workforce by developing creative sourcing strategies and cultivating relationships with educators and professionals nationwide.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Sourcing & Talent Pipeline Development
- Proactively source qualified candidates for faculty, administrative, and operational roles using online platforms, professional networks, and educational associations.
- Build and maintain long-term talent pipelines for high-need subject areas (e.g., STEM, world languages, learning support, advancement, athletics).
- Develop partnerships with colleges, universities, and professional organizations, including Episcopal and independent school networks.
- Maintain a warm candidate database for future openings.
- Conduct initial outreach to potential candidates via email, phone, and networking platforms.
- Screen resumes and conduct preliminary interviews to assess qualifications, cultural alignment, and mission fit.
- Provide candidates with information about the schools Episcopal identity, community values, and academic programs.
- Ensure a positive and professional candidate experience.
- Partner with HR leadership to broaden recruitment outreach to underrepresented groups.
- Attend job fairs, diversity recruitment events, and faith-based or independent school conferences.
- Support equitable hiring practices aligned with school policies and Episcopal values.
- Work closely with hiring managers to understand role requirements and timelines.
- Track sourcing metrics and report on candidate pipeline health.
- Maintain accurate records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
Required
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business, Education, or related field.
- 2+ years of sourcing or recruitment experience (education sector preferred).
- Familiarity with Linked In Recruiter, job boards, and sourcing tools.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated respect for and willingness to support the mission of an Episcopal school.
- Experience recruiting faculty or staff in independent, private, or faith-based schools.
- Knowledge of Episcopal school networks and NAIS best practices.
- Experience sourcing diverse candidate pools.
