Major Community Engagement

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Louisville, KY for a Major Community Engagement/Recruitment position at the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office. Responsibilities will include developing and implementing community engagement strategies, analyzing recruitment needs, organizing events to promote the Sheriff's Office, and fostering relationships with local organizations, schools, and stakeholders. The role will also involve coordinating communication efforts, responding to community inquiries, and tracking recruitment and engagement outcomes.

• Strong experience in Community Engagement and Relationship Building
• Proficiency in Recruitment Campaigns, Event Planning, and Public Outreach
• Ability to develop and implement strategic engagement and recruitment plans
• Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills
• Project Management, Organizational Skills, and Attention to Detail
• Familiarity with Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Practices in community engagement
• Experience with Data Collection, Analysis, and Reporting on community impact
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Human Resources, or related fields preferred
• Knowledge of local community and government operations is a plus
• Ability to work closely and collaboratively with diverse populations
