Desktop Engineer

Job Description

Experience in Desktop support / End user support Engineering.

Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, One Note, Excel, and Visio.

• Maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots desktop hardware and software packages.
• Responsible for customer service and end‑user training.
• Performs advanced administrative/operational/customer support duties requiring independent initiative and judgment.
• Researches and resolves technical problems of moderate complexity, typically escalated from first line support teams.
• Responds to escalated telephone, email, and online requests for technical support.
• Documents, tracks, and monitors problems using applicable systems and tools.
• Exercises discretion and judgment in prioritizing requests and interpreting and adapting procedures, processes, and techniques; works under limited guidance due to previous experience and breadth of knowledge.
• Provides deskside support to end‑users for incidents, service requests, information requests, and service levels.
• Dispatches and monitors break/fix repairs, including services performed by third‑party vendors.
• Works with documented procedures and regulations for IMAC services for hardware and software.
• Tracks inventory of scoped software and hardware in accordance with Humana’s asset management process.

Bachelor of Computer Science.

$50,000 – $65,000 per year.
