Job Description
Minimum 8+ years of Appian BPM experience. Must have L2, (L3 optional) Appian certification. Experience in designing business solutions with clear business benefit. Experience working on Agile projects. Knowledge of designing processes in Appian using Analyst and Designer view. Knowledge of Appian Smart Services and Tempo Interface.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Appian and web‑based applications. Provide technical guidance to mid‑level developers.
- Work with business users to translate requirements into technical designs and map/load data from source systems to data warehouse.
- Build critical Appian‑based applications and integration components.
- Develop applications in Appian BPM and integrate with other interfaces/products.
- Problem‑solve and estimate Appian business requirements. Debug issues in interfaces and process models.
- Work closely with key business users; perform scenario‑based requirements gathering.
- Design, develop, and implement advanced BPM solutions leveraging Appian’s AI and agentic capabilities.
- Deploy and configure Appian AI skills (generative AI prompts, document/text classification, data extraction, sentiment analysis). Create processes blending AI‑driven automation with human oversight.
- Configure, deploy, and manage AI agents using Appian’s Agent Studio.
Qualifications
- Good knowledge of BPM fundamentals, architecture components, and technical features such as Designer features and configurations.
- Hands‑on experience in Appian BPM design and development including Tempo, mobile features, forums, discussions, pages, smart services, reports, and deployment.
- Proficient in Java, J2EE, Ajax, JavaScript, XML, XSLT, etc.
- Appian Analyst and Designer Level certified.
- Experience leading distributed engineering teams.
- Experience with multiple integrations with external systems.
- Ability to scope Appian projects.
Education
At least a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or closely related field (or equivalent experience).
