Release Train Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Release Train Engineer (RTE) to serve as a servant leader and chief Scrum Master for a moderately complex Agile Release Train (ART).

This role is responsible for facilitating program-level processes, driving continuous development, managing risks, and promoting a culture of innovation.

The RTE ensures alignment with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) principles to enhance collaboration, transparency, and delivery speed across multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the overall facilitator and coach for a moderately complex Agile Release Train (ART).
• Lead the adoption and execution of SAFe principles, ceremonies, and tools.
• Facilitate PI Planning readiness through Continuous Exploration, Vision, Roadmap, and Backlog development.
• Enable ART adoption of tools such as Jira Align and Azure Dev Ops.
• Coach and mentor technical teams, Scrum Masters, and business partners in Lean-Agile practices.
• Guide teams in refining value streams and resolving dependencies and barriers.
• Foster collaboration among teams and with System and Solution Architects.
• Orchestrate synchronized program-level processes across multiple Scrum and product teams.
• Align strategy and execution with Product Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders.
• Partner with the Agility Enablement Hub to support program execution and operational excellence.
• Drive continuous improvement through Inspect and Adapt workshops.
• Promote Communities of Practice and Built-In Quality engineering practices.
• Ensure focus on quality and continuous delivery of business value.
• Make decisions on moderately complex issues with discretion and independent judgment.

• 5+ years of experience, including 2+ years on large-scale, technically complex projects.
• Experience working within the SAFe Framework in roles such as RTE, Scrum Master, or Agile Coach.
• Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies.
• Proven success in managing complex value streams and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and mentorship skills.
• High emotional intelligence and ability to influence without authority.
• Passion for improving consumer experiences through Agile practices.
• Ability to be on-camera during meetings.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
• SAFe certifications: RTE 6.0 and/or SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) 6.0.
• Advanced Scrum Master certifications (e.g., CSP-SM, A-CSM, PSM III).
• Familiarity with Agile Lifecycle Management tools such as Azure Dev Ops or Jira Align.
• Prior experience in the health solutions industry.
• Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

• SAFe RTE 6.0 or SPC 6.0 (preferred).
• Advanced Scrum Master certifications (preferred).
